The last has not been heard of the Redeemed Christian Church of God crusade which had Wasiu Alabi Pasuma billed as one of its guest performers.
The show which was eventually cancelled by the RCCG headquarters left many with mixed feelings.
Adeboye suspends RCCG Pastor for inviting Pasuma as guest artiste
The fuji star who was paid an undisclosed sum of money to perform at the church doesn't seem to be at a loss as he has revealed he will not be making refunds.
According to the secular artiste, they shouldn't expect him to return the artiste fee as the church erred and not him.
Pasuma disclosed he was willing to keep to his end of the contract prior cancellation.
Pastor Toyin Ogundipe who is allegedly the pastor in charge of the Redeemed Church parish in Lagos Island responsible for the crusade has since been sanctioned by the headquarters of the church for allegedly paying a secular artiste like Pasuma to its program.
The crusade which was tagged “Lagos Island Family Areas Forum” which was billed to hold between Friday, October 23rd – Sunday 25th, 2015 displayed prominently a photo of the fuji artiste. A digital copy of the flyer went viral on Nigerian social media after and it was leaked by a source at the printing press.
According to member of the church, the pastor was queried because he went against the tenets of the church which is contained in a handbook handed to all pastors.
Until the crusade's cancellation, Pasuma was expected to perform alongside gospel singer, Tope Alabi and a former band leader of the late Fela Anikulapo’s Egypt 80 band, Kereke Jike.
