A Federal High Court in Lagos granted bail in the sum of N3m to Chris Nwandu who allegedly aided the blogger Seun Oloketuyi to defame the CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Nnamdi Okonkwo .
Chris was accuses of aiding Seun ,who had been charged with defamation and cybercrime , Seun on 25th of August published the story that Nnamdi was having an extra marital affair with Justina a married woman working in the Marketing department of the bank, Seun also added that this illicit act led to Justina's husband Ben sending her out of her matrimonial home, Seun published that Nnamdi had since sent Justina abroad to go study and took over the responsibility of her children.
The alleged accomplice Nwandu was alleged to have posted a "purported" picture of the duo on face book to support the story seun posted....choi! na wa o
Now se gbege wey dey involved be say there is a law under section 24(1)(b) of th cybercrime (prohibition prevention etc) so the police inspector Olakanmi Omisope that Nwandu was liable to punishment under section 375 of the Criminal Code Act Cap C38, Laws of The Federation.
The offence is said to carry a maximum of 3years of imprisonment or a fine of N7m of both.
